Macrosiphum pallidum

is an aphid species found only in North America.

Common names. None recognized.

Distribution. This aphid is widely distributed throughout temperate North America.

Host associations. It has a narrow host range, feeding mostly on roseaceous plant species, but has been recorded from species of 6 plant families.

Economic importance. It is particularly important on Rosa and strawberries, but also attacks a broad range of other plants, especially ornamentals. It has not been implicated in the transmission of any plant virus.
